Memorial -
Purpose is to recommend to council a Memorial Gift List that will be updated and prioritized as required.  The list will consist of items that are of lasting value to the congregation.  The committee should have three members and a committee chair selected by the congregation council and should meet at least semi-annually and as necessary.  The responsibilities of the committee are to research items on the list as to price and suitability in consultation with the pastor, to purchase items on the list if instructed to do so by council and to keep the pastor informed of items on the Memorial Gift List and to inform the pastor of updates to the list.  Meetings are held on an as needed basis.  Priss Bashore, Chair
Memorial Garden Committee - To provide a spiritually appropriate place on the church property for the scattered or spread cremated remains of members of the congregation of St. Peter Lutheran Church so they may become a part of the life of the living garden.  The memorial garden is designed to remember those who have gone before us in faith.  The ashes which are scattered or spread are recorded in the church office.  Meetings are held as needed.

Mutual Ministry Committee – To have primary concern for the pastor and the pastor’s family, to be available for counsel, keep the congregation council informed of conditions in the congregation as they affect relations between the pastor and the membership, and to review the development of the parish ministry.
Property Committee – Responsible for the first impression of the church from the highways and roads that pass our church. We want the community to see a well maintained structure, an inviting landscape and signs that identify our location.  Dick Himler, Chair
Protocol Committee - The church is governed by policies for each organizational entity from the Pastor and Congregation Council down to various committees.  Each committee also has processes that govern their activities that describe the role in the organizational unit.  This committee will develop, review and revise, as needed, any and all policies, procedures, manuals and/or guidelines.  All documents will first go through the Protocol Committee for their review prior to review and approval by congregation council.  All documents will be reviewed and approved by congregation council on an annual basis.  Meetings are held on an as needed basis.

For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.  (Romans 12:4-8)
